Sisanda Tech is thrilled to be named a finalist in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2024 Photo Contest! This annual competition organized by the WSIS honors photos that showcase the positive impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The WSIS, a UN summit focused on bridging the digital divide, aims to create a space for knowledge-sharing and technological advancement for all. Sisanda Tech’s Sisanda App Universe has secured a finalist spot with two impactful photographs highlighting the power of immersive technology in education!
Photo 1: “Student Exploring the Human Heart using Augmented Reality” by Tshepiso Pholo: This photo captures a student using a tablet to explore the human heart through Sisanda’s augmented reality science lab, Sisanda At Universe (SAU). SAU is designed to enhance learning in public schools throughout South Africa.
